Description
The Blackburnian Warbler is a long distant migratory bird that winters in southern Central America and South America and summers in coniferous forests of southern Canada around the Great Lakes Region and the Appalachians. These beautiful birds are breathtaking in their orange and black breeding plumage, the only North American warbler to sport an orange throat. The Blackburnian Warbler was named after Anna Blackburne, an English botanist. Collective nouns to describe a group of warblers include: bouquet, confusion, fall and wrench.
