Description
The tiny Marsh Wren (Cistothorus Palustri), also known as a long-billed Marsh Wren to distinguish it from the Sedge Wren that has a shorter bill, is found throughout North America.Their breeding habitat includes cattail marshes with tall vegetation where they are observed singing their little hearts out all day and throughout the night. Marsh Wrens seem to be constantly on the move foraging for insects, spiders and snails in the dense marsh vegetation. Occasionally they pop up for a few seconds before darting back out of sight. Collective nouns for wrens include: "chime", "flight", "flock", and "herd" of wrens.
