Description
The tiny, delicate, dainty Northern Parula (setophaga americana) is a New World Warbler which breeds in eastern North America from southern Canada to Florida. This mostly forest dwelling bird is one of the smallest warbler species. Its yellow throat and breast, contrasted with a blue-gray head and wings help it stand out in the forest canopy.
Photographed in Thickson Woods on the north shore of Lake Ontario near Whitby Ontario
