In their breeding plumage, sandhill cranes are truly magnificent looking birds. This pair wandered about the marsh seemingly scouting out a good nesting location. They eventually settled on this spot.

I'm a retired teacher living in Southern Ontario, Canada. I worked 35 years full time and 10 years part time as a classroom teacher and guidance counselor with the Peel District School Board. I also worked part time in the Faculties of Education of York University and the University of Toronto in their Additional Qualifications Programs.
