Duffy's Land is located in the Town of Caledon which is located in the northern part of The Region of Peel. Although Peel Region is mostly urban (Mississauga and Brampton), Caledon remains mostly rural. This is an image of Duffy's Lane as it passes beneath the Caledon Trailway, a recreational hiking, biking and horseback riding trail that cuts through the northern part of the town. The Caledon Trailway follows an old railway line that was built in the 1870s by the Hamilton and Northwestern Railway. It was later amalgamated into the Canadian National Railway system and was decommissioned by the CNR in the 1980s. The Town of Caledon purchased the line in 1989 for use as a recreational trail.
