Artist's Description

Mallards are the most common duck that can be found in North American ponds, parks and wetlands. They tend to be fairly tame, probably because they are used to being fed by people. Kids delight in feeding bread and other goodies to these eager recipients. Mallards are among the species of duck known as dabbling ducks.meaning that they feed mainly at the surface, tipping forward to graze on underwater plants.
