Description
The Olive Baboon, aka Anubus Baboon is one of the largest species of Baboon and the most wide-ranging of all baboons throughout Africa. The name “Olive Baboon” is from the greenish grey coat covering their bodies. They live in troops of between 20 and 50 members, but if there is abundant food in their area the size of the troop can rise to over 100 members. The infant being nursed in this image will stay in close contact with its mother for about a month before joining other juveniles in the troop.
