Description
The Blue-winged Warbler (Vermivora Cyanoptera) with its bright yellow body and bluish-gray wings is a stunning looking little bird. Blue-winged Warblers resemble Prothonotary Warblers, but unlike the Prothonotary that prefers a wooded wetland habitat, blue-winged warblers prefer shrubland and old fields. Blue-winged warblers are closely related to the Golden-winged Warbler with which it can breed producing hybrid Brewster and Lawrences Warblers.
