Description
Animals "fight" for several reasons. In some cases it is to gain dominance and control over their environment (survival of the fittest). Sometimes young siblings will play fight as a means to learn the survival skills they will need in the wild and sometimes, as in this case fighting serves as a form of courtship, frequent mock fights between an estrus female and male/males. Female cheetahs often choose males from bachelor assemblies known as coalitions. Even though these cheetahs were engaging in a mock fight, the action was fast and furious and extremely rough.
