Description
The dark-eyed junco is a flashy little sparrow that seems to be constantly on the move. They are very common winter residents of eastern North America. Colors can vary geographically from slate to brown colored backs with a white belly. They are also distinguished by their pink bill. They like to feed on the ground and commonly found in groups around bird feeders.
