Description
Great horned owls don't actually have horns, but derive their name from the prominent tufts or feathers that bear the resemblance to horns. These owls can be difficult to spot since they are primarily nocturnal and the color of their feathers keep them well camouflaged. Great horned owls often get harassed by flocks of crows, in fact I located this one by following the commotion made by these raucous birds.
