Considered one of the most beautiful birds in the world, the Lilac-breasted Roller (Coracias caudatus) is the national bird of both Kanya and Botswana. These birds are widly distributed in sub-Saharan Africa where they inhabit open woodland and savannah. The Lilac-breasted Roller is commonly found perched at the top of a tree where it can catch small prey moving about on the ground.
