Description
St. Andrews, commonly known as St. Andrews by-the-Sea, is located on Passamaquoddy Bay on the southwest coast of New Brunswick, adjacent to the State of Maine. Originally settled by loyalists after the American Revolution, it is now one of New Brunswick’s premier seaside resort locations. The prime St. Andrews landmark, the red roofed Algonquin Resort Hotel sits on the highest point of land overlooking the bay. Passamaquoddy Bay and the Bay of Fundy are noted for their famous tides which raise water levels of 28 feet or more twice a day. Here we can see the town at low tide.
