Description
The Red-eyed Vireo, one of the most common summer residents of northeastern forests, is renowned as one of the most persistent singers of all North American birds. Up to 20,000 songs a day have been recorded by a single male. These neotropical migrants spend the breeding season in deciduous woodlands in southern Canada and the northern United States and winter in Central and South America. A group of red-eyed vireos are collectively known as a "hangover" of vireos.
