Description
The Swainson's Thrush is also known as the Olive-backed Thrush in some regions. These shy, but vocal medium sized thrushes prefer a dark forest interior habitat where they forage for insects and arthropods. The Swainson's Thrush was named after William Swainson, an English ornithologist. Collective names for a group of thrushes are: a "hermitage" or a "mutation" of thrushes.
