Artist's Description

The constant motion of the tiny, cute Blue-gray Gnatcatcher can be a challenge to photograph as it flits around in dense foliage foraging for insects and spiders. As it flicks its tail from side to side, the Blue-gray gnatcatcher scares up insects and proceeds to chase them down. Spider webs are a favorite target for food as well as strands of webbing for their tiny cup shaped nests.
