Santa's Helpers Christmas card features two of our cats: Hemmingway, a long haired Burmilla and Alfie (aka The Artful Dodger - his show name). The Burmilla is a cross between a Chinchilla Persian and a Burmese. Abyssinians are one of the oldest natural breeds, originating in the area around Egypt and Ethiopia.

I'm a retired teacher living in Southern Ontario, Canada. I worked 35 years full time and 10 years part time as a classroom teacher and guidance counselor with the Peel District School Board. I also worked part time in the Faculties of Education of York University and the University of Toronto in their Additional Qualifications Programs. I purchased my first SLR camera back in the 60's and instantly fell in love with photography. My love of the outdoors led to my keen interest in hiking and nature/wildlife photography.
