Artist's Description
The Amadeo was a Chilean passenger and cargo ship built in 1892. She ran aground and was wrecked in 1932 and was eventually beached by her owners. Today, her rusted iron hull rests on the beach in Estancia San Gregorio on the north shore of the Straits of Magellan in southern Chile. The site at San Gregorio was declared a historical monument in 1973.
About Gary Hall
I'm a retired teacher living in Southern Ontario, Canada. I worked 35 years full time and 10 years part time as a classroom teacher and guidance counselor with the Peel District School Board. I also worked part time in the Faculties of Education of York University and the University of Toronto in their Additional Qualifications Programs. I purchased my first SLR camera back in the 60's and instantly fell in love with photography. My love of the outdoors led to my keen interest in hiking and nature/wildlife photography.
