The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. A unique behavior of the Reddish Egret is its "canopy dance", where it sprints through the shallow water, performing all kinds of contortions with its neck and wings. This action attracts minnows that are attracted to the shade provided by the egret's wings. Dinner is now served!
About Gary Hall
I'm a retired teacher living in Southern Ontario, Canada. I worked 35 years full time and 10 years part time as a classroom teacher and guidance counselor with the Peel District School Board. I also worked part time in the Faculties of Education of York University and the University of Toronto in their Additional Qualifications Programs.
