Description
Zebras are very social animals that gather in herds for safety on the African plains. They rely on the camouflaging effect of the mass of striped bodies making it more difficult for predators to target an individual animal out of the herd. Safety in numbers is particularly important while gathering at a watering hole to quench their thirst.
